Course Overview
VLANs & Q-in-Q
VLANs (Virtual LANs) allow the creation of multiple logical networks over a single physical network, improving security, traffic isolation, and management. QinQ (VLAN stacking) builds on this by encapsulating one VLAN inside another, enabling service providers to carry multiple VLANs over a single connection. Together, they provide scalable, secure Layer 2 networking for enterprises and ISPs.
Network engineers.
Participants should have a basic understanding of networking concepts like IP addressing, MAC addresses, and the OSI model. Some familiarity with switch configurations or general network setup is helpful but not required. This session is designed to be accessible for network engineers, data center technicians, and IT enthusiasts alike.
