Mumbai Internet Exchange India’s largest Internet Exchange Hub is now a member of Asia-Pacific Internet Exchange (APIX) Association. Mumbai IX Joins the league of NIXI, which is India’s Oldest Internet Exchange point.
Mumbai-IX was founded on 15th August 2014, which also happens to be India’s Independence Day. It is running with the mission to “Make internet in India Affordable & Accessible” and achieved the vision to make India be World’s Fastest Country with Internet Speeds. Within the span of 2 years, Mumbai-IX enlisted over 200 ISP members and became the largest Internet Exchange point in India.
There are a total of 25 IX points from 17 countries in APIX Association. It Acts as a forum for Internet Exchange Points to exchange experiences as well as ideas. APIX Membership allows members to meet twice in a year at the APNIC Conference and Members meeting. The initial meetings are always hosted at APRICOT.
